Jesus, I want to be the guy who builds his next jeep.

i wonder if that step is what he is referring to as a "crawler bar"

Well at least you know the driver side tail light is good. His pictures don't show you much of anything else.

I have a set of those wheels. They are from the 98 ZJ 5.9 Limited. Only made for one year and only came on that ZJ. Best news is that either I have to put spacers in or sell them off and replace them as the P285/70 tires are hitting my lower control arms... Just for the record, the ZJ folks will spend upwards to $300 per wheel for those things. I found them in a yard out east of the Springs (via car-part.com) and struck a deal for all 5. Problem is, most yards do not have 5 at a time.

I bet he'd let ya have them for a grand............

Based on his intelligence and apparent background I would bet on the price being "1000$ grand"

False.

They first came on the 1998 5.9 ZJ:

Then on the 2000 Cherokee Freedom:

Then on the 2001 XJ 60th Anniversary Edition:

They were also offered as a 16" wheel option in 2000 and 2001 on TJ's:

They were also an option on 2000 SE's and 2000 and 2001 Orvis edition(UK only) XJs.

No one will out do me on silverstar trivia.

+internet points for anyone that knows what country they were manufactured in.

Just asking, aren't Silverstars chrome and 15"? Ultrastars are flat aluminium and 16"... I have the Ultrastars. Good to know though that the wheel was available on other models. Bad news for reselling them. I really don't like spacers and the tires hitting is really getting to be annoying...

And guessing Japan as the country of origin as indicated by the Japan Intitute of Labour (JIL) cast into the rim right next to the valve stem.

If I'm right, do I get a cookie?

Ah yes, this old ambigious naming chestnut. there is so much confusion, both the names "ultra-star" and "silver-star" have been used interchangeably over the years to describe both of these wheels its not even funny.

The only thing I can say is that I will direct you to the authority on stock jeep wheels:

This is a prime specimen, in near mint condition.
One owner before me, only 89,000 original miles
Interior and exterior in incredible condition with basically no blemishes.
100% original, everything works, collectors quality. Never wrecked.
I just put the rack on it, I would like to remove the rack before selling, but I am willing to negotiate if you want the rack.
Email me to arrange a showing or to see more pictures, available after 2/29.
