I dig the updated engine management/fuel injection set up...... I'm just wondering if that was put onto the 2.8 or if it's had the 3.4 swap......

Probably does run real well though. If ya gotta build an '84-'86 era XJ...... that's the way to go to defeat the crappy carb'd 2.8 engine. A bit more of an investment and a 4.3 with matching transmission goes in nicely too......... but I digress....... :D

Ad says its a 3.8, the intake looks like a 3.4 off of a camaro. Not that I need another Xj since I just got rid of the MJ, but this is different and may not too bad of a deal, looks clean.

Wow...... I must been tired. Dunno how I missed the engine info in the ad.... :twak:

I'd be very hard pressed to buy another early XJ - crappy electrical system quality and weak unibodies...... at least not for off road duty.

If this one has been built right and in good shape, it does seem like a decent deal and probably runs real good......

Look! An XJ for tractor pulls!!!!! :D

beastly. I think I'd hybridize the cage to get some inside triangulation, but pretty sweet trail rig.

Man, that thing comes up for sale a couple times a year. Used to see it sitting on the south side of 550 toward the west end of Gunnison all the time with a for sale sign.....

Does look like a very interesting build..... Doing any kind of major engine work is gonna suck as they didn't leave any way for the engine to be removed...

Hey fella's, Not sure you have to worry too much. It's not like I have to sell it. If the right buyer comes along and the deal feels right then it might go on down the road. I promise that I will not let it go to some crazy person that is just gonna beat the crap out of it and then scrap it. Things change and I just wanna try to do what feels right with the family and all. My boy LOVES to hit the trails up in Moab, so its a tough decision that could change at a seconds notice!

IF you do find a buyer.... tell them part of the deal is they HAVE to join NAXJA and keep updates on the heep at LEAST 2 times per month! :dunno:
