If you own a lifted truck, or even just a 4x4 that is fairly easy to crawl under, I would suggest parking it in the garage! People are stealing catalytic converters so they can go recycle them for cash. It costs honest, hardworking people hundereds of dollars to fix, so they can get 5 bucks for your cat. Yup, that's the going rate right now--5 dollars per cat!

That's no lie - that crap has been going on for the last year and a half or so. The WalMart in So. Jeffco had quite a few cats stolen from SUV's and lifted vehicles. All they needed was a chain-style pipe cutter and just a few minutes.........

Stock cats were going for as much as $80 each last summer.........
