Best of Craigslist

Its definitely piced high but looks like a very clean little MJ.

Yeah..... if you overlook the caved in, rusty rockers and the bashed driver's side bed panel....... :shhh:

LOL.......... crack smoker.........

'86 MJ with a 4-banger...... asking $7500....... :nono:

Yeah I saw this and was like WHHHAATTT???!!!! I'll sell my MJ for $6,000 if he gets that...

For rarity's sake....... I wouldn't mind having that Mopar hidden winch set up he had on it.... but otherwise '85-'86 MJ's are the least desireable ones out there. Early version unibody (no bueno), least amount of available horsepower in either engine, and they're all long beds - short bed wasn't available until '87.

That's a $2K truck at the very best and only because of what's bolted onto it.

After having tried to sell things on CL for the last few months, my assumption is that he's asking for 7.5k so he gets sight unseen offers of 3k and in person offers of 2k, which is what he actually wants.

People are flaky, stupid, retarded, dumb, flaky, low-balling lying sacks of crap on CL. I have a set of 6 military takeoff 395/85R20 tires listed (as in, that exact size spec is IN THE GAWDAM LISTING TITLE IN BIG BOLD LETTERS) right now and the last guy to ask me about them had to ask what size rim they were for.

Equally frustrating is trying to sell stuff here.

We have both local AND National for sale forums folks....... If I'm advertising local and you don't see me advertising Nationally........

I don't wanna friggin' ship the stuff.

But yeah, Craig's does find the special folks. "Will that lift kit fit a 2 door Cherokee? I know the bodies are different lengths so I am concerned the suspensions are different." :twak: :banghead:

LOL......... Perhaps one should search Craigs before posting on Craigs........ :dunce:

different strokes, but I have to say...

I LOVE it -- that is some creative work. what's funny is that the CJ7 proportions still seem about right, so when you don't see it next to something else, it actually looks pretty much like a CJ7 on 35's... ridiculous. but groovy. :D

And WAY too wide to realistically use on Colorado mountain trails...... Build a hard top for it and send it to Iceland to play in the Arctic......

That thing is hideous. Better like the green Line-X..... It'll never be another color. Bash a fender? Ya can't repair it..... Have to build another and then hope the new Line-X matches.

I'd say put a full size rear bench in it and enjoy hauling your 5 closest friends around Moab in the biggest open top jeep out there. Its pretty cool.

Someone went to the Ranch Hand school of jeep patio design.

you've got that all wrong.

What you're seeing there is the front canard and the stabilizer of that Jeep. What the pictures don't show are the wings that extend out from under the b pillar. This is the mach 5 of XJ's.

I think you're right but he miscalculated his airfoil profile and angle of attack. He'll never get any lift out of that thing.

EDIT: proracedriver, that sure looks like the one Explorer 1 (name of Fred, iirc) had in his rig. I've seen pics in multiple tech threads and it looks very much like it...
