best non deaver leaf springs

Nationals, though they may not be cheaper. Also Alcan, they're not as progressive (thicker / fewer leafs) but it's what I've run all this time until now. Tony had some DPG trailgunners that worked well, and whil Dirk won't say who makes them, its someone here in socal. That doesn't leave many options other than the deaver or national.

I'm running that exact setup XJRunner and they are too soft for me. fine on the street but it's pretty easy to bend them into a negative arc going fast. I could have fixed that with bump stops but then I'd just be slamming into them the whole time. :dunno:

to be honest I had 3.5 ranchos on my old green jeep with a roof rack and heavy bumpers and I could smash through ocotillo at 45-50 and 35 through the3 ruffer stuff and it did really well. I might go that route. They were full packs with a aftermarket shackle

Was about to say... DEAVER hands down.. although my DPG Trailgunners did work surprisingly well. Other options are Full Traction. Many guys race on those and do well.

x2 on that. theyre way too soft for any go fast stuff. i was constnatly on my bumpstops with that exact set-up. though i dont see my RC 4.5" springs being much better.

i'm going to have to disagree with the people who say the re's are nice

and agree with the people who say they are too soft.

i have had a 4.5" pack under my jeep for a while. it lasted about 2 months before it sagged to a couple inches

then i tossed a re 3.5" pack on there and it sagged to 1.5" within a couple months.

good news is once they sag, they pretty much stayed at that sagged height.

all on a fairly stock unibody, not carrying a lot of weight, bumpstopped properly.

im pretty sure the 3.5" coils are much stiffer than the 4.5" coils. not sure which you have but that seems to be the info on the interwebz

x2

Not only were their springs junk, they refused to stand by their product.
