Welcome! Hopefully we can get you some help.

Without seeing pics of the damage, it's hard to be able to give you the answers you're looking for. It's not uncommon for the lower control arm brackets on the axle to get bent and depending on how hard the hit was, usually it's not a big deal.

First look to see if the control arm is making contact with any part of the bracket or axle tube. if not, then I'd assume the geometry is still in good order. Look at the welds where the bracket attaches to the axle tube. If there's any cracks or tears, then you've got problems. Is there an alignment issue or is it driving poorly?

Also compare the control arms on each side. If that bracket took a hit hard, there's a possibility that the control arm is bent as well.

If the bracket is just bent funky and the 'ears' are bent outward, this is just a cosmetic issue, should affect the vehicle at all.

If you have the ability to post up a pic or two, that'd be the easiest way to get this diagnosed.

If you live in the Denver area, many alignment shops should be able to tell you what to do with it. Bear Frame and Axle is a good honest shop - Broadway south of Evans a few blocks.

Hope this helps.
