Here's anothe update on the post-lifted Frog...
Ordered a set of sway bar brackets from Poly Performance (13 bucks each, plus shipping and tax) and plan to cut and reweld my sway bar brackets. Currently, my drag link touches the passenger side sway bar bracket during right turns. During max flex, I would lose all turning to the right. The new brackets are taller and will clear the drag link, preventing contact during turns. Guys in my off-road club will help cut and weld. Aint they sweet?
Front non-winch bumper ordered from AJ's Offroad is still on holding status. I hope AJ gets that fire put out soon. I need to wheel and can't until I regain my lost clearance. His bumper will allow me to remove the front stock bumper.
I purchased a set of oil filter adapter o-rings yesterday to stop another oil leak. The pavement beneath the Frog looks like Valdeez Alaska. Price came to 8 bucks plus tax. I plan on changing the o-rings tonight after work, or Saturday before the Cal4Wheel Convention in Sacto. I hope I win the raffle vehicle - 2010 Wranger Rubicon JK with decent build parts.
I received my transfer case skid plate from JCR Offroad and will install that this weekend. Probably after the Convention. That sucker looks and feels nice. Wait...it might rain. I had better take tomorrow off from work. No, I'm the boss. Can't do that.
Work sucks. I should be home wrenching on the XJ. Just a thought.
