Beers

Ahhhh! So many beers, so little time

A lot of good ones mentioned so far, personally I'm not too crazy about most of the fruity wheat beers, seems like few breweries know the meaning of subtle when they brew them.

I don't really have favorites, as I mostly just like to try different beers as a change of pace from my hombrew. This was my selection last time I went to Binny's...

I'm down to one homebrew on tap, a red ale, but I have been brewing...

From left to right, a heavily hopped APA, and a dunkelweisse, both ready to keg, and a Fat Tire clone, ready for secondary

And I have a schwarzbier lagering in the garage...

The last time I had Fat Tire, it tasted like Flat Tire.

Maybe it was becasue it was in a keg?

Don't know, but haven't drank it since.

Ill have to stop at Safeway and pick up a 6 pack.

if you are gonna buy a six pack get Skinny Dip. Just make sure its cold if you look on the side of a New Belgium beer they have a recommended serving temp trust me they otaste best when you get close to that temperature

Sounds good. Ill have to just pick up both.

you get your jeep fixed yet? if not that beer better be fuel for some fixin

I'm enjoying this Thunderhead IPA right now its pretty good

Can't go wrong with a good IPA. We used to have a local brewhouse/restaurant that brewed a killer IPA. Three of them would just about knock you in the dirt. Then they tried to tweak the alcohol content a little more to make it stronger and in the process made the beer taste like ass. Maybe that's what put them out of buisness. I sure do miss having a local brewery!

yeah they are just wearing off now. Gotta finish some programming homework before class now.

X's 2 for Stone brewing, I personally like the Arrogant bastard ale, Or the Ruination IPA

I love Stone, and IPA's in general. I mainly drink their stuff but I also enjoy alot of Guiness, Newcastle, and Sierra Nevada. I frequently try different brews that I get at BevMo

Not trying to be a hater, but I do not understand the obsession with Fat Tire, it was pretty mediocre IMO.

Gone are the days when us Canadians could rightly make fun of Americans and their weak, shitty beer...

Yeah right the country that brought us Labatt's blue. That's a lofty goal. They had to buy Rolling rock before they could say they had something decent.

Currently I usually drink Hacker-Pschorr Weisse Dark. I enjoy Pyramid beers as well, and almost any Hefe-Weizen.

Well, you learn something new everyday - well, once in a while, anyway.

I haven't bought beer outside the grocery store in some time, now. I had no idea what IPA meant. I figured out that APA was American Pale Ale, but I couldn't figure the 'I'. A little research "IPA beer" and I'm starting to get really, really thirsty.

ANy one try the Carmel City Heffweizen? It's on sale at trader joe's, taste like a Widmer but a little on teh weak side and light, not as thick.

Oh and I was waiting for someone to bring up the Red Stripe's, those things are meant to be chucked.
