So after removing the ball joints with a Autozone rental press, i'm hearing it will be rather difficult to install them without the Jeep adapters and what not.

I don't mind a little challenge if it is still possible. Can someone confirm whether or not the set i have now will work?

This is the main concern, can i work without this?

did mine just fine with that kit no special jeep adapters. i did have to use a socket for a press attachment 1 time. suggest removing top first as it is easier to get the lower one with it out.

They do go in at kind of an angle. Be sure you have the angle right before you start cranking down on the press. What I ended up doing was 'gently' tapping them in (jisut to start) with a block of wood or some such and a hammer, so I had an idea what angle
they were going in at. if you don't think its right, take the press off and take a look.
Just take your time, it'll work.

I have seen them installed without the angled cup, and it was a bear, but it got the job done. I bought a kit and it came with angled adapters, made the job much easier. It wasnt cheap though.

Thanks for the responses, going to go outside and get the axle connected back to CAs and such, should make the install much easier since i've had the axle pulled already.

For gloss enamel spray can, it came out pretty well!
