bad news for PAHighlander.... wish him the best..

Sorry to hear about the totaled XJ, very glad to hear you are all right. These XJ's are pretty tuff. I'll have to show you pic's of what happened to my wife's 93XJ when were hit from behind my a driver who had fallen asleep doing about 70mph.

Ouch!

The way I look at wreck is ..... NEW RIDE!

The used jeep market is low... you might to be able to move up to a stocker post 97 for around $5.5K.

The ins. company should pay for a sport-U rental until the claim is settled. NEVER accept the first offer by the "total claim adjuster". Their job is to pay as little as possible for each claim.

Tip,

Photo copy jeep equal to urs from the local auto trader and submitted them to the insurance company should pay RETAIL REPLACEMENT Value, Key words in the ins bizz.

Thanks for the tips ... so far the insurance company hasn't done a thing other than move it to their impound yard somewhere in CT. I don't have a good feeling about things as there is still an outstanding loan on the XJ - would have been free and clear in 11 months. I will have to push the retail replacement angle, so I at least have some $$ above the loan payoff to get another rig.
