Smithfield owns Farmland and that is who we contract with is Smithfield. The local company is Premium Standard Farms (PSF), but it is just an offshoot of Smithfield.

On the package of lusciousness I seen at the store, it said that it came from so-and-so's farm in Iowa. I'll take a better look next time and report back.

I shit you not, at the county fair they are selling chocolate covered bacon for $3.00 a piece..as much as I love bacon, that did not sound good at all. I might have to buy a piece tomorrow and make a "show and tell" picture show out of it just for the sake of this thread

I love chocolate... I love bacon.... but sometimes in life you are best to not combine things you love. For example I love my wife... I love my jeep.... apart they are great, together not so much.

All joking aside I have tried chocolate covered bacon, it was nasty. (I like bacon, but not like that) A friend made as a joke and brought to work- two of us tried it on a dare. Never again.

I've done it... (Bacon and chocolate) Perfer it seperate. First the BLT(Heavy on the Bacon) Then in about 30 mins.....

It's almost 3 in the am and I want bacon.... if I make bacon the intoxicating aroma that would radiate from the kitchen would wake everybody up.... then I would get less bacon. Man I wish I had a stove in the garage.

We had the whole famdamily up this weekend for my boys 3rd birthday and this morning I made mega-feast breakfast at our place. I should have taken a picure of all of the goods in its glory! 4 lbs of thick cut bacon, 3 lbs of fresh pork sausage, 32 biscuits, about a gallon of gravey, 18 eggs and about 3 lbs of hash browns. It was awesome and to top it off, I had a few slices of bacon left over for a sammich this afternoon. I even had a faint aroma of bacon in the house until late afternoon. Now wifey called it a bacon stench in the house....but she just deos not understand. I wish I had a bacon air freshner and I would put it in front of the air filter on the A/C unit
