after sellin my 97 Xj 3 years ago or so, came across a deal i could not pass up. it is a 1990, that has been hacked up. but it runs darn good.
has a long way to go. built a bumper for it today actually, sliders and tube doors are in order soon for it. already have some new tires for it as well.

OP - I'd get a wirewheel and some rattlecan on that weld (right at the bottom of the moved C-pillar) asap personally! Don't want it eating up any more than it already has.

Billy - They look almost like loader/forklift tires, but I am pretty sure I'm wrong on that.

what tires are on the rear of that ZJ???

they are 31x15.5-15 goodyear terra tires, commonly found on a ditch witch.

dumb question:
you're planning on a cage right?
eventually, but not in immediate plans no. i do plan on finishing up what the PO started with the hack job, and adding some stiffeners and plating for the time being.

done and and done! that was one of the very first things i did upon bringing it home. i am gonna have to do alot of grinding and more welding ot clean it up, it was welded with a Stick welder and looks terrible.

looks good i want to hack up an xj into a truck so bad...

btw where in KY are you?

hacking into vehicles is fun. i traded a 1977 chevy that i shortented, bobbed, and dovetailed for this XJ.

i am in independence, the very northern part of the state.

what did you pay for this tank?

looks good, whats next on the list? Should do a canvas top in the rear :)

traded this for it, had approx. $700 in the truck, but an insane amount of work hours. it was dovetailed front and rear, replaced stock 52" springs with 64" springs, shackle flip, Took 22 1/4 inches out of the frame to shorten wheelbase, plus numerous other things

why'd u take the TSLs off?
they were bald. i left the two best ones on the rear, but put a new set of tires up front. temp for now, eventually i plan on upgrading to 33's

canvas top would be sweet!
but as for now, i made tube doors for it

and i have an explorer 8.8 on the way, since the pinion on my D35 looks like this.

 That's a hell of a pinion bearing right there... at least it was only a d35. Man, whoever had this rig before you beat the piss out of it.

yupp, and i plan to continue to beat the piss out of it. but when i break, it gets upgraded.

picked up an 8.25 today for $100. wanted an 8.8, but could not find one with the right gears. so atleast the 8.25 is better than a D35.
