Hey all, finally getting settled after the wedding on the 7th followed by 2 weeks in Mexico, and of course right back to work.

What did I miss?

Anyone hitting the hills this weekend?

Dutch and I are working on a trip.

Ok, what's with you and this "Dutch" guy 'wheeling every weekend? Must be transplants from another State..... REAL Colorado guys don't actually 'wheel.

Get with the program or we may have to suspend the both of you from the Chapter.......

:D

Yeah I am a transplant, I moved here from Montana when I was 12. So maybe I'm immune to your CO laziness when it comes to wheeling as I've lived here for 13 years. Its seriously a bit lame how we post up trips almost every weekend and pretty much nobody goes out. Whatever, I'll just keep hanging out with Stump and Josh. At least they take their rigs off the pavement. Even Todd here has gone out with us and his rig is so clean and pretty I almost cringe at the thought of it getting scratched. So  to Todd for actually wheeling, unlike 98% of NAXJA.

Yeah Todd, welcome back. Looking to hit up a trail this Sunday. Don't have an exact trail narrowed down yet so if you have any suggestions feel free to post them. I'd start a thread about the trip but it wouldn't make a difference as nobody would show anyways.

Careful.... you're stirring the pot DJ..... Talk like this is exactly what got Stump all bent outta shape. He doesn't officially recognize the existence of "enthusiast" clubs - none of us should. We'd all better be activists and committed 'wheelers - or we ain't shit. Right?

:roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

Oh well, it's cool to see that he still enjoys his XJ and is cool to 'wheel with apparently. His asshattery certainly isn't missed here.

Yeah, I transplanted a little over 33 years ago and haven't been wheelin sense Monday. But then I'm up to my eyes in work around the house.

in about a month and a half i will have to go wheelin with my new rig when i get it all up in the air and trimmed up and new tires. i really cant wait

Now that's an intriguing thought...I'm glad you pointed that out.

To think of all the time I wasted wheeling with a bunch of Ford guys because...

They aren't brand snobs.
They actaully like the outdoors and enjoy being there.
They actually adopted a trail and actually pick up trash when they go.
They actually care that everyone has a good time and won't do silly (embarrasing) things out in the woods.

Keep posting up your runs. It's only a matter of time before the moon and stars align, and I get to wheel with some XJ guys.

Oops! I'm not allowed to wheel, I'm a Colorado native. Is it Ok if I just drive my wife's station wagon around with you guys?

You would think to be an enthusiast of Jeeps, one would drive the Jeeps in a manner originally intended. As in offroad. Maybe we should all start lowering our XJ's and mounting 22's on them. That would be baller, yo. :D

Nah, it's WAY more fun to dump big $$$ in mods, go 'wheel 'em, break 'em, buy more mods, break those, then learn to fab, fawk up the fab work a few times until it's done right, then go bash all that freshly painted fab work on the rocks only to discover that it still wasn't done quite right and go back and fix that..... then realize that several years after all that you've invested $10K and gained a bashed up, modded, fabbed XJ that is actually much cheaper to own if ya just leave the friggin' thing in the driveway and tell stories with pics of all the 'wheeling you used to do.......

I think I know a guy like that....... :D

Being an enthusiast isn't all bad..... Cherokees are like Happy Meal toys..... Collect the whole set! :D I've owned one of each production year except for '97, '00 and '01 at some point now...... Oh, and I still need to own a Comanche!

I have a MJ I will sell ya.:D I don't care when people don't show. I am just happy when they do. I understand people have other things going on besides wheeling all the time. Not too mention filling your tank can be pretty painful right now. I am just there to enjoy the great outdoors and break my XJ in the process. Gives me ideas how to make it better. Plus lets me see other peoples junk break or crash and I get a good laugh. H*ll when we were up on Danken a Lexus (4runner clone brand new) pulls up to area where we were climbing rocks. And Stump and Dutch were tellin the people they would spot them. Bunch of old people. It was hilarious. Guy wasn't buying, bitched that his running boards kept bottoming out. We had good time and made fun of some TJs what more you could ask for.
