axle welding?

i just cut off the rear shock brackets.
i am about to weld them back on.
will it be alright to weld them back on while the axles and fluid are still inside the axle.
i have a 8.25.
i dont know what the axle tube thickness is so i dont want to burn threw.

You can reweld them while the axle is all together, just weld an inch at a time and let it cool.. the tubes are not that thick..
