anyone know the differences between the two just by looking at them???? Is there an ID tag anywhere I should look for??
AX5/AX15 physical differences

both tranny's have a slim sectiion sandwiched between the main body of the transmission and the rear section. On the AX-15, it's aluminum like the rest of the main and rear sections. On the AX-5. it's cast iron or steel and appears darker in color than the aluminum main and rear sections. Otherwise, they look very similar.
