Well I just got done making my second "peice" tonight. I really like how this one turned out, since painting it was a B*TCH! Sometimes its nice to fab things not directly associated with the rig, and be creative.

This one I made is a clock (obvious if you look at the pics). Made of 9" ring gear, metal mesh, bearing race, a shim?, a spider gear, and some clock peices from Hobby Lobby :D

Enjoy!

My first peice was this Paper Towel Holder (looks better with a normal roll, not an industrial roll :D). I never painted it, and think I might soon to make it look cleaner and more appealing. It's made of D30 Shaft, U-joint caps, bearing races, D44 Ring gear, a Spider gear.

So, anyone else done anything like this? :D

Dood, that's some heavy decorations........ Pretty creative though I gotta admit. I hope that clock doesn't fall off the wall onto someone's toes...:D

I imagine River will be posting up here very soon with his pencil box...... or sumpthin.......

I really like the clock, nice job.

On the clock, where did you get the "motor" for it? I made clock for the GF, and bought one of the little motors from hobby lobby, and it doesnt work worth a damn.

Nice work though, I guess college has given you some creativity. :D
