Anyone with 12" up front

Hahahaha, you guys are sturggling to believe he is pulling 11" with his 10" shock (which by the way, I have seen cycled, and is possible), then you will probably not believe that you can pull 16" out of a 12" shock on a Bronco... je je je

If you look at Fox 2.0 shocks and not just bilstein fox has 11 inch travel shocks that are the perfect length for cherokees. With 4.5-6.5 inchs of lift and with stock location shock mounts the travel is very balenced up and down. With the bilsteins you have to either build a mount for the top or buy stud adapters with them which adds more length to the shock. You can buy the Fox shocks with very nice stud mounts already! You can even get external compression dampening adjustment if you want to spend more money.

Fox 2.0 11" shocks are 17.1" collapsed, 28.1" extended so 11 inch travel. $189 FOX980-02-397-B "prices are from http://www.offroadwarehouse.com"

Bilstein 2.0 12" short bodies are 16.1 collapsed, 27.68 extended so about 11.58" of travel. Not the claimed 12" travel anyways. $189.99 BS-AK7112SB

I bring this up because everyone automaticly thinks bilstein short bodies because thats what everyone else does. You can throw a fox in there with factory stud mount top and factory mount bottom and the length is perfect. No adapting needed. I am running fox 2.0 piggyback shocks with external Compression Dampening adjustment and they are awesome! Mine are the JK 6inch lift shocks. FOX980-02-382-B

Just another thought.

We had 16" travel on our Class 8 with a 12" shock, so yes I would believe that. I don't believe that you can get more than a 1:1 travel ratio using stock mounting locations on a XJ though.
