i think kid is just being a little (or a lot) sarcastic.

i ran without a hatch or cage for a while with no issues, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I also got tired of dragging my spare over every obstacle, and integrated it into my cage

top in the back is coming off this weekend

And never, ever roll your windows down while going over rocks.
The windows are what keeps the doors structurally sound.
I wouldn't lie about this stuff.
