Anyone replace the axles in their '86?

Since I'm going to have the whole thing apart soon (engine swap), I was thinking about doing an axl swap at the same time. Problem is I've been having trouble finding info on what will work with this particular year. Also, the 4WD is command-trac. I've heard that some lockers won't work with that ... but am not really sure.

If anyone has some info, that would be great!

The 87 XJ D44 and the 8.25 XJ Axle's will bolt right in. The 207 is the command trac Tcase and I ran mine on the street and trail with a Lock right in my D35 without any problems. What engine are you putting in? What axles do you want?

I'm putting in a 3.4L V6 from a '94 Firebird.

Haven't done all my research yet on the axles, but that's for the good info to start me off!
