Anyone put 13.50" wide tires on a 15x8?

I am having to get tires earlier than I expected and one of the tires I might be having to go with is 13.50" wide. I am currently running 12.50s so going and inch wider isn't a big deal except I have 15x8 wheels. I can't afford to swap out wheels much less even afford tires hardly. So I have heard it is possible to run a 13.50 on a 15x8 but I am curious as to what that will be like? Do they wear funny? Do I have to make any unusual adjustments to maintenance and care because this is a "it can be done but not recommended" situation?

I put 12.50 BFG AT's on my 15X8 with only 3" lift and a bit of trimming. (04-TJ) Like you I tried a 13.50 (Used) at a friends tire business. It made the rim look very small and the tire looked like a balloon on the sides. Plus he made me look close at the bead area, siting it did not seat as neatly on the rim as the 12.50. Lastly we sat it down and turned the steering hard left and right, it rubbed - a lot. Solution in my case was stay 12.50, rim spacers, or new rims with larger off-set.

We've done it before...actually ran a 14" wide bogger on an 8" rim. Didn't have it long but put enough miles on it to say in my opinion as long as your air pressure is right you should be fine.

I run 12.50s on 15x7. You just need to run a lower pressure on the road to correct the contact patch. Easiest way to set the pressure is draw a line of chalk across the tread, roll the vehicle back and forth, and check to see if the chalk is rubbed off evenly across the tread.

Poor mans beadlock :)
