Holy childish

God forbid anyone should expect someone to keep their word and deliver a simple product in the time promised, plus or minus 50%.
Had no idea this board was populated by 18 year old kids. Good to know.

a simple product??

haha. why not build it yourself if its so simple??

hmm maybe because its not and it actually does take some time??

take it from a guy who has made a living with his hands, some things take time, some time things get backed up, and most of the time its worth the little extra wait to get a good product. I never have ordered anything from him but I do like his stuff

I ordered a bumper from him and it took about 6 weeks. I was actually happy that it came so quickly as i was expecting it to take quite a bit longer to custom make me a bumper.

I ordered a bumper from him it took forever. probably 11 weeks. I got the bumper, It was pretty good work. for the money I was happy with it. but I also ordered the mounting hardware for it and never got it. Iv called and emailed him sooo many times over the 15 weeks ive been waiting. now he just stopped answering me. I have been very polite, still now I have yet to be rude or angry. this post sounds like im screaming compared to the emails iv sent him. now I tried to file a dispute and paypal says it cant for this kind of transaction. now Im pissed.

Don't care, if that's the price he expects to deliver a product, raise the damn price.

If you don't care about any of this, call and cancel the order. Simple as that. Don't start a thread then sit here and defened everything everyone says to you because you don't like it. Take a little bit of responsibility in the matter for XXXXs sake.

Apparently you didn't notice that this from a year and a half ago...I'm pretty that the problem has been resolved one way or another.

Nope I didn't notice. The thread was bumped up to the new threads last night when I posted. I don't immediatly look at the date of everything.

Going on 8 weeks now ordered a xj front bumper from Nates, he sent the rear! called! he said he would ship the front one? Kinda wondering? we will see! did comp me the rear bumper, but the xj looks silly with no nose cover!

He sent this to me via email

"With turnaround times approaching three months as recently as November of this year, I decided it was time to do something drastic to catch up on the old and keep up with the new orders. In late October 2009 I made a phone call to nearly 100 customers who had orders pending with Nates4x4 company informing them of my plan. I hired on some of the guys who had worked for me in the past and together we spent the next three weeks knocking out bumper after bumper. From Thursday, November 19 to Monday, November 23, we made three massive shipments, completely clearing our backlog of Bumper orders. Since that time I have been working alone and keeping up on all current orders, shipping within 3-4 business days of the sale.

In addition to clearing my backlog, I have also changed the way we process sales. Credit cards are no longer processed up front. They are typically charged the day before or the day of shipment. When you see the transaction go through you can rest assured that your order will be shipping within 24 hours. Due to increasing interest in using Discover cards, we are now accepting Visa, MasterCard, and Discover on all orders.

Clearing out the backlog has also helped me to spend more time on customer service. You will find that emails are answered and phone calls are returned within 24 hours. It also allows for more time during the manufacturing process for finishing work. Each product goes through a quality control check where all welds are wire brushed, all excess spatter is removed, and all sharp edges are double checked to ensure they have been beveled with a sanding wheel.

From this point I am making a commitment to myself and to my loyal customers to keep up on orders, shipping within one week or less of their order date. It has been almost one month since this change has been in effect and the results are a smoother operation and happier clientele. I am excited for the future of the company, and am making plans to expand into new products and services for 2010.

Many thanks go out to my customers this past year who have been more than patient with the unusually long turnaround times.

Happy Holidays,
Nate
