Just looking around for fellow jeepers for some future possible wheeling trips, if anyone ever needs a hand with there jeep. I'm in warwick, New york which is about 10 minute from the northern NJ border and about 45 minutes from the delaware water gap in PA.

I'm about 45 mins south of the water gap, didn't have a chance to post before.

I can't believe no one has posted a response. There has to be some people close by

That's the trouble with you cowboys out West - you think there are wall to wall housing tracts on every square inch of soil East of the Alleghenies. :D!

Yeah, it's like that in a lot of spots, but there are still plenty of hills, lakes, and trees too (all privately owned or restricted of course). I'm pretty sure that Eric is aware there are a bunch of NAXJA'rs an hour or more to his south in Jersey and PA, but he does live in a rural area and none of us seem to know if there are any other XJ folks out there - especially someone who knows the Catskills. And he DID specify "NEAR me"

Heck, even in Jersey (stinkin' chemical pit that most of you think it is), my biggest traffic problem in my rural area is dodging the damn whitetails and I still have to drive an hour or more to hook up with anybody (except for Mayercik of course, but we're not sure that he's an actual person, since we can't get him to join a NAXJA event - :) hint! hint!).

So, the question still remains - where are all the XJ's in Orange County?

Eric, BTW, Lincoln did have a good suggestion - maybe you should try the NAC Forum as well, although there has been deafening silence from that region in NY state.

I heard that. :D

Now that I've got all my skids in place, my parking brake works, and the A/C blows cold once again, I am going to start keeping an eye peeled for an opportunity to go trailward. Sooner or later, I'll get there...

cool, when i get this thing registered again (been off the road for a year) i gotta hook up with some fellow NAXJA'ers. gets kinda difficult to get yourself unstuck with no other help sometimes.

Eric,

Just remember it's all in the name of fun.

Mike, I know it's not just a crowded crap pile back there. And I'm sad to say that even here in old "conservative" Idaho they are starting to sell state lands to private owners. Luckily the feds won't let them have most of it.

I still consider two hours "near". They just need to combine all of that area into one state and call them counties. :)

Later,
Lincoln

P.S. I'm not a cowboy, just plain old "hick".
