Anyone live in or visiting San Francisco soon?

Hi everyone, I'm actually a member of the SoCal Chapter, but found a BMX bike up in San Francisco I'm interested in buying on craigslist. Are any of you fine Sierra Chapter members living in SF (or visiting the city anytime soon) that would be willing to check the bike out for me (make sure it isn't in bad shape) and maybe buy it and hold it for me while I figure out how to pick it up from you? I live in Santa Barbara, which is about a 5 hour drive from SF, so it isn't worth the drive just to check it out, but if someone can do it for me I could make it up there ASAP. Please let me know if you can help me out! Thanks!

Sorry fella cant really post on here at work with my boss looking over my shoulder. The BMX bike is all taken care of. I looked at it and GAUCHOMD sent out the check to me to go pick the bike this weekend

I think its a Radio Flyer. But so far i think the deal fell threw. i went up and talked to the owner of the bike all was good. His name is Derik then i called Jason in Santa Barbra filled him in. He said yeah i wante it will send the check to you. But Jason can no longer get ahold of Derik so who knows

Thanks to Jason (CrazyMoose1990) for checking out the bike for me. It is a 2008 SE OM Flyer... I haven't been able to get a hold of the seller (Derek) so I guess he sold it already. I found another one in San Diego, which is a bit closer and a bunch of the SoCal members live down there so I'll see if that one works out. Thanks again to Jason, next time I'm in the bay area I'm buying you a beer!

No problem sorry dont know much about BMX Im close to 40 so BMXs of my day were Redlines and so on. I know a little more about mountain bikes and Downhill. I have a Yeti ASX free ride and an old Klein Attitude which is 1991 vitage. So kind of lost when it comes to all the selections you guys have when it comes to BMX bikes. Yea dont owe me anything you would do it for me if i ask so no worries.

I'm close to 40 myself (well, I'm 34, but what's the difference?)... just getting the retro version of my old 84 "P.K. Ripper". I was really into BMX back in the mid-late 80's and then got into mountain biking (cross country) in college, but saw that the company that made my old bike made some retro versions in 24" and 26" sizes so I've been keeping an eye out for one at a decent price. Thanks again!

Bring that Heep up here we can do some wheeling. I will bring mine back from Oregon and see if i can break that Aussie locker i loath so much ARBs are in the works next year. Bring your mountain bike to we can ride those a little to but i will worn you im way out of shape.

Hey Jason, sorry I didn't reply earlier but I don't come into the Sierra Chapter very often. I'd like to come up and wheel/mt bike soon... I'm getting my XJ regeared this month, so maybe in Sept/Oct? Also, I ended up getting the same bike (but in practically new condition) down in San Diego, but thanks again for checking out the one in SF for me. The guy never did get back to me, oh well. I'll try to come up and wheel soon

Yeah lemmy know maybe i can get a few Xjs together to do Holister or Rubicon. Can anyone tell me if Rubicon can be done with rear locker and 32s. I have no skids thats probably a bigger issue
