Anyone in the Malden area?

I am going to be opening a shop in Malden....well, my boss is opening it, but i'm the lead installer. It's a huge building that i can bring my xj to and leave it there as long as i want while it's being worked on...(about 5,000 sq. ft. of useable garage area) So i am planning on doing my lift there, i am probably going to need atleast a month to piece the lift together... What i am hoping on was that there might be someone close that could be able to stop by in their free time and give me some technical assistance if god forbid, i need it. This is my first REAL lift of any kind on any vehicle.(i have a BB on my xj, but that's not a real lift) So... that's the deal- i am expecting to have problems, such as i know i already have broke off the bolt on one of the rear shock mounts, but i get it re-attatched during the BB install. I am planning on having it there like a week and just taking my time with it, starting it on a weekend, and finishing it after work the rest of the week. I also will hopefully be swapping my front d30 from my 95' into my 00' so that i do not have to deal with as many driveline vibes from my LP d30 with the lift. Anyways, hope that someone may be around the area incase i need a hand- maybe set it up so if there's a mod you nee to do, and you'd like an enclosed shop to do it, we could make it a wrench party. But that i'll have to check with my boss on, but he's pretty cool about that stuff.

Hey Bro, I am in the downtown b-town area and have no problem coming up and lending a hand. Just give me a heads up when you need the help

Nice, much appreciated... What are you doing there, your profile says NY...traitor...lol I'll be sure to let you know if and when i need a hand. Once again, thanks.

summer classes at WIT.......don't worry not like the yankees or the bosox's so don't care . more interested in spending my free time wrenchin and wheelin :D .

I went to the WIT...I was there for a year but had a little too much fun in Boston... I am working, then im going to start my own company and use that to pay my tuition to go back. I saw that you were doing engineering in your profile, and something told me that you were at Wentworth. Good Luck there, I loved the school, but have a tendency to sabotage my scholastic careers... been that way since 3rd grade.

trust me I know all about sabotage my scholastic careers, been to three different colleges and finally found one that I like, except for the B/S classes that they make you take to become a "well-rounded" engineer. but the company I work for is paying for me to finish up, so I have to actually finish this time. what kind of company you looking to start?

A 12 volt installation company, focussing on travel trailers and their tow vehicles. I'd like to create custom, owner serviceable Navigation, Back seat entertainment, Rear view camera installations, and branch out to high end audio to those who want it... that's what im doing in Malden... Im a Mobile Electronics Installer, the focus of the new shop is to do mostly custom fiberglass and tailored a/v, and stereo systems. btw: I was a ME at WIT... but i am planning on going back for the Electro-Mechanical Engineering program.

cool, did a little of that kind of stuff in high school for the local stereo place, knew the manager really well, had its perks, free stereo stuff :D . I am in the ME program and already had the math to do the EME but didn't wait to stay in school any longer. I work for a medical device company in upstate NY as a research engineer developing in ideas and devices in the interventional radiology area of medicine. and only my senior year left after this summer

nice... sounds like a sweet deal. I am already tired of school and i'm not even back in it yet, like i want to go- but i don't want to be there...makes sense, right? maybe not, but it does to me. it's really alright, the tests concluded that i'm normal, no crazies here...lol. wow it's been a long day, time for me to get out. Peace.

hey if you need any help im in woburn and dont mind helping always good to have more jeep friends

nice! thanks... i'm sure i'll need some help, and i also don't have any wheeling buddies... have never actually been to a jeep event...i have always had basically stockers, but i'm trying to make this one trail-worthy...WOW, it's about time i did major modifications to the appearance...i've done most other things i can do engine wise, short of a stroker.

i had a lot of fun with my lift it was a s.o.b but fun and id like to do a few more so send me a pm and ill give you my tel #

Well, i am tossed up between using the $$ from my insurance to buy a bull bar and have it painted (supposed to fix the front anyways) or if i say screw it and use the $$ to pay for half of my lift... the insurance only gave me like 860 after my deductible was taken out of it... This means buying the lift and shocks now, and buying the jks discos, sye, driveshaft, shims, etc... in like 3 weeks when i hopefully will begin having an income. Errrrr....choices...

Whats up audiophile, I see that you are from northborough. Pretty damn close to me, got any places to go wheeling? I have a buddy named Paul that lives in northborough and I always see trails on my way to his house but am not sure if they are private or not. Anyways I am doing Rusty's 6.5 very soon and I travel to Malden atleast twice a week to visit friends, so Im right in the area.

Nice... Yea, i haven't really gone out wheeling too much- i don't consider my jeeps to be offroad worthy at this point, that's why i'm doing the lift. I know cherry st. shrewsbury (behind Heberts candy mansion), a little bit of mud in northborough on hudson st., there are some trails around but i haven't done many.

Your jeep is definately trailworthy with a BB, you would be surprised. I beat the sh!t out of my BB and my jeep is just about ready to be built like it was meant to be. I can't wait! If you need any help or want to go wheelin Im only a couple town over so give me a shout.
