Anyone in the Bethel Maine area?

I'm trying to find out if one of my favorite campsites has been reopened. It was closed several years ago when the bridge was washed out, i'm hoping it's been reopened.

If you live in the area and can help me out i'd much appreciate it. I can PM directions to the site.

Imagine my surprise when the local Rangers cant answer my question...

State run campsite Rich, it's listed online but the local Ranger's office could not tell me if it's been reopened.

The campground is called Wild River off Rt2.

Hmmm, how deep is the water you maybe could have it all to yourself :laugh3: Started looking around on maines web sites and could not find any wind river campground listed in maine, found one in NH...

That's it....i had forgotten that the 5 miles on FR12 loop you back into NH.

Did you find anything that states it's been reopened?

It sounds to me like it's pretty developed, but I've never personally been there. Been near it though, and that's a beautiful area all over up there.
