Gee thanks.. like i didnt know i can just google it...
Im asking for PERSONAL REFERENCES...not google..

but thanks Glenn

my advice is to tow it to somewhere you can access easily-- I've been there and had "shops" repair things because it was cheaper than towing home-- it's only cheaper if you don't have problems. The return trip for minor/major problems will negate any savings you might have.

If you know someone you trust and have the means to get it there, you will be dollars ahead in the event there is a problem, and you will be helping a "friend" stay in business. Both are good things.

well i decided on waiting...
Get a tow dolly from uhaul and tow it back up to Lenny's shop of horrors..

Betcha wish you had got that extra transmission now huh?

Didnt you already replace that one when you had it?
I ll find a used one.. then get the other rebuilt when i get more money.

i can go to a JY and get one..
Anyone know if they have those places that sell certified used parts?
when i lived in FL there was a place called Panda Salvage Yard.. where they would unbolt parts and sell you them with warranty and all. but it was more money then a PAP

LOL she has a d44 with 456 gears already or i would have bought it.
I found a place that sells certified used transmissions for $420 shipped!
or i ll do like Lenny said: Get a wrecked jeep for 500 and strip it!
lol
