Anyone have a rear XJ D44 they're looking to get rid of?

I hope it's ok to post this here :dunno:

I am looking for a rear XJ D44 housing, preferrably with the races and such. Basically, I am going to lock, alloy, and regear anyway, so I was wondering if anyone possibly had a housing for sale, so I don't buy parts that will go to waste. Shoot me a PM if you have or know anyone that has one.

Alternatively, I could also buy a full one, but I have a couple prices at $350 right now, and don't want to spend quite that much.

I got a hundred bucks towards that new 44 if you want to swap out my ball joints for me. I'll buy the parts.

Save your money Phil, just let Dave do it the night before the snow run. :laugh3:

Not sure what your time frame is or what gear ratio you're wanting to put in, but I have a built one that I may be getting rid of in the next month or so, to go to a 60 with 37/38's.

It is a '89 MJ D44 that was converted for spring over.
Dana 4.88's with master install kit
ARB
Alloy USA Chromoly shafts with dual bolt patterns
ZJ disc conversion with all new parts
High clearance shock mounts.
Also have spacers to convert 4.5 to 5.5 pattern.

Been running this for a 1 1/2 years, never broke anything. Gears/ARB were setup by Gearman in Rancho Cordova. $1500 if interested. Located in Sac.

thanks, but I am looking to get a stock one and build it in my time-frame (read: paychecks must be combined to buy alloys). I think I have a lead now on one for a good price :dunno:

There is one posted on SFBAY craigslist for $500. Ask for nick, probably our very own nickangus selling his.

Funny, you buy them at pick n pull for $120 on 1/2 price weekend, then sell them for $500?

Not cool.....

Have you hit the junk yards sharpie?? Last time I was at the Fremont yard I saw 3-4 xjs with d44's in them. Think they are like ~150 for the axle. Unless you catch it on 1/2 price day then you are all set with a d44 for like 70 bucks :)

I actually have hit every sac one. Maybe I'll pay one another visit (they had 8 xjs or something)

Andrey, the one in Fremont is actually in Newark, off of Mowry Ave. head up 880 to Mowry, go west until the road stops and you found the place. Go get it before someone else does.

Thanks for trying to justify ripping off others, most people pay the rent with a job. I hope you never break on the trail with me and I have that part you need, karma is a bitch! 400% mark up back at you!

Come to think of it Nick, I just hope you are never on the trail with me.
