Anyone have a CAD model of an XJ?

I hate the term "3D Model", it is a 4D model!
If it didn't have length/width/height and DURATION it would not exist (4th being time)
;)

jbcherokee - you should be able to import the 2d AutoCAD file into Inventor as they are both autodesk programs, and I believe are designed on the same platform. Therefore you should be able to import the 2D file and extrude it in the 3d modeling area.

I will see what I can do... if I can get it figured out i will let yall know

tried to import it.... got a response "sorry this prerelease product has expired"

I can't even remember how I got this autodesk suite, i think it was a torrent, so well maybe I need to update.... to the piratebay!

i took the autocad .dwg file from cben.net and imported it as a 3d model into solidworks and it works. havent checked to see if its dimensionally acurate at all, but it looks like a jeep

I would be willing to come up with some bucks for a good accurate SolidWorks 3D model of an early XJ. I might even be interested in a late model as well.

my company was looking into getting a laser scanner to scan historic cabinets into autocad for identical reproduction. but we ended up losing the job bid so we never got it. i could have made a super accurate model of my jeep. that thing was fun to play with.
