I'm new here (the forum and Jeeps in general). I was wondering who here os from SC. I wantto go trail riding on some 'real' trails. I do all this backwoods stuff with my buds..pretty fune, but I see a lot of people going to real trails that arekept up and stuff. looks like a lot of fun!

BTW: I drive a 95 XJ 2dr 4x4 with BFG All terrain T/A KO 235/75/15 on stock suspension. I will give it a lift around next x-mas('06). I have another project car that I spend allmy money on...(turbo honda crx)

Welcome to the boards and Jeeps.
When you do get out on some real trails you'll probably want to sell the honda and build the Jeep. anyway, we'll probably do a smallish run in Jan or Feb. after the holiday's, so keep checking back.

Hey there I'm in Hartsville and 2000xj, close to that, is Jeremy and he is in Florence. Welcome! PM me some time and we will get together.

Thought I would say Hi since Ghost already introduced me. I am in Florence and also have a stock XJ. Soon to be lifted with Glenns help. Welcome, there are some great people on this site.

Where in SC are you? I'm in Rock Hill. A friend just started a small Jeep club and right now we have about 6 members, and are still growing. If you're in the area, it'd be cool to add another person. We are planning a weekend wheeling/camping trip this coming Febuary if you'd be interested.

I live in Laurens. Its about 2 hours from charlotte, NC. I have a couple jeepin friends down here as well. I took the xj off raoding yesterday and it did very well up some fairlydeep creeks and slippery surfaces. I did get stuck on one part of teh trail where the mud had been worn down so much on teh tracks that the middle caught my rear differential and wouldnt let me budge. Had to get my friend in his CJ-7 to pull me out. Otherwise it was a blast until it got dark...

Im here in blythewood. About 20 minutes above Cola. Stock xj but have a 3" SkyJacker sitting in my shop waiting for tires and maybe rims. If anyone wants to ride let me know. Or know of places to ride.

Hey let us know if you need any help with the lift.

If you are in York and wanna wheel with some of us sometime, drop me a PM. We're always looking for more people. What does your Jeep look like? I may have seen it around.

It's a trailer queen - no tags or anything - but now that I've rolled it, it's only good for the trail anyway. My DD is a blue 4Runner on 33's. Send me a PM, always interested in checking out different XJ's.

My 4Runner is blue w/black rims. Won't see it for a little though, gotta change the head gasket (being the optimist - maybe the head).
What does your XJ look like? I work in Tech Park (across from York Tech) - so if you are around, I'm sure I've seen it.

Well, I dont have a lift at all. It is stock for now....When I go from teh top of the tire on teh front (putting my hand at level on my leg) then go to the back, my hand hits the flare. When I have like a good 2-3" at teh front....Maybe its bc the tires are different from front to back (havent had the opportunity to buy my new rear tires yet), but dang...

Thanks I think I might be ok. Not sure till I try. The problem I have is I have nothing other than tools, jackstands and tools. So I hope it goes ok. Oh, will I possibly need spring compressors? A coworker says I should get some.
