Anyone ever used "Purple Ice"

I saw this additive at the speed shop today. Purple Ice by Royal Purple. Supposedly you put it in your coolant and it reduced the engine temp dramatically. It said it does this by lowering the coolant/water properties allowing the liquid to dissipate heat more quickly.
My XJ runs really hot on 90+ degree days and I was wondering if this might help.

Thanks,
Chris

Best thing to do with overheating issues is to change the all the coolant. A good 50/50 mix of water and coolant is standard. Too rich of coolant mixture and the temp goes up. To lean a coolant mixture and the water pump wears our sooner.

A good synthetic oil should lower the temps slightly.

i completely agree with the above. i changed my thermostat and corrected the coolant ratio , BAM! back to 195 all the time. no voodoo involved or whatever else.

I have tried the product and has done nothing. I have tried it from the rec amount to the whole bottle. I have also tried WaterWetter by Redline. I ran these both in my SCCA vehicle during events and noticed no difference big difference if any. Best solution is to get some fresh and properly mixed coolant.

Thanks for the advice. I just made a 100 mile trip today and had to run with the heater on full blast to keep it out of the red (just barely). I'll definately be changing the coolant/thermostat tomorrow.
