anyone around ft.collins...

i could use some help. my wife and i are here for the week. we are staying at the best western university hotel on college. she has a one day orientation at csu on monday, and the rest of the week we are house and job hunting. she begins classes in mid june, so we are looking to move here at the end of may or very beginning of may.

i was wondering if anyone would like to meet (or maybe even show us around some) for lunch/dinner to tell us where the good and bad areas are and other things about ft. collins and surrounding areas. i'd be willing to pay, just nothing too expensive.:laugh3: we've vacationed in poudre canyon for the past few years, so other than loving it here, we know very little of the area.

as for work, my wife will be transferring with her current company, but won't be working much due to school. I graduated from Purdue U. last may with an electrical engineering degree and have been working as a control engineer in Indianapolis the past year. i'm really open to any work right now because i haven't recieved any replies from companies that i have applied to.

Just curious...is your wife starting a Masters or PhD program?

My wife and I are going to be looking at schools in Denver, Ft. Collins and Boulder in the near future, so as I said, I'm curious.

we are having a good week. thanks again Grant! we drove up to horsetooth park yesterday, and it is very nice. we looked at a condo on fossil creek prkwy off of college just south of harmony. we like it a lot. we have appointments to look at another in the same condo's and a house off of prospect, but i'm pretty sure we are set on this particular unit. now i just have to find a job.

Fergie, my wife is transferring to finish up her bachelor's. i wish she was going for her masters or phd. out of state tuition is going to be a killer! good thing you get residency after 1 year. if you need any help, give Yucca Man a buzz. he's a great tourist guide :laugh3:.

Fawk - SOMEBODY give me a call so I can find the stinkin' thing!! :wierd: College and Harmony's not a bad place; it's away from the stoopid-crazy traffic unless you're trying to get to/from campus between 4-6pm. The south and east sides of Ft Fun are seeing most of the growth, but don't look for a job with Celestica, HP, or Intel...they're all closing/downsizing.

there is a house across the street from us for rent its a town house 3 bedroom and 2 car detached garage. call me up sometime like tomorrow and maybe we all can get together and bs, the place for rent is located off of lemay and stuart rd. Stuart Rd. is one stop light south of prospect on lemay. there are nice places here in Stonehenge it has a pool and the garage from hell would be located across the street.
