Anybody seen 97-98-99 XJ at a pick-n-pull around South Bay/Peninsula?

Hi,

I am looking for 97-99 XJ at a pick-n-pull. Need to look at a few things to decide whether I would like them or not.

If somebody HAS 97-99 XJ and can let me check it out, that would be very much appeciated.

I will drive my 96 for at least a couple of years more. Than we'll see.

Is there a big improvement between 97-98-99 overhead consoles and steering column switches ? I do NOT need all those funky MPGmeters, mostly reading and cargo lamps. Got permission from the wife

I don't think the steering column switches will work on the 96. They are totally different. The overhead console thing might work, but like you said, there isn't any real value to it.

If what you want are the upgraded dome/cargo lights, just find another pre-97 XJ and get them from it.

I thought most Pick-N-Pulls don't have 10 year or younger cars. I think you will have a hard time finding anything made after '95.

the one near my house Newark/fremont one has cars older than that they have tons of 90's XJ's no Mj's though. the oldest I have seen at mine is 1967.

Yes 97 to 07 is 10 years . . . the 97 XJ came out in 96 !!!1

here is the adress 7400 mowry ave Newark, CA 94560. very easy to find I live 15 min. away. when on mowry you drive down till you hit some Rail road tracks then down a really crappy road and then it is on your left.(yahoo map it)
