Just wanted to see if anybody else is going to KY Outback OHV Park the weekend of Oct. 23-24? I have three vehicles going and "they" won't open the Park unless you have eight vehicle or more...

I won't be going, but is that the new park that opened a week or so ago? If so, what part of KY is that? They'll need to do something about the park hours. You can be on the trails between 9a and 5p. That don't work for me.

The Park is about 25 or 30 miles dew north of Morehead on the Ohio River. I don't think it's 100 percent complete but it is open. There is a minimum of eight vehicles before they will open to you. I have meself and one other vehicle going. If we don't go there, we'll be heading up to The Badlands I guess. Others are welcome to join us!!!!

Jermemy,
Where in Louisville are you? I live just south of the Watterson on Dixie. I'm a Newbie to the 4X4 scene. I also PM'd ya...

Hey all, I live in Morehead just about 20 miles south of the park. A few of us are in the process of forming a new offroad club. A few of us will be there on the 23rd to assist in opening some more trails. The owners are great people. There are so many old logging roads that need to be opened up. The park will soon have some fairly easier trails opened. We are going to try to open some of those trails so people with stock or slightly modified can run those. Right now there are some level 3 to 5 trails open. It is a really nice place. Have you been on the parks website? http://www.kyorvpark.com

From I-64 west take exit 137.
at ramp turn left, onto Ky32 west.
go approx. 1 mile to Ky377 (right turn)
Travel about 18 miles to the road that says Briary Branch (right turn)
Go back that dirt/gravel rd. Follow signs to Outback Park.

I talked with Roy, the owner. He said he will be there that weekend. Our new club will be working with Roy and Al to get some more trails open. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you wanted to clear a few logs or trees out of the way as you wheel.

My name is Darrell, i go by fireXJ. fire325 is my old name. Don't know how to change it on the naxja forums.
Our new club is called 4 Low Off Road. Hope to see ya there.
