I hope this is OK for the NAC section,

I was preping my XJ for some herculiner and found this under a rivited patch:

I patched this last year as a temporary fix before my inspection, and these were just pinholes at that time. A year later, and needing to replace the radiator, expansion tank, and hoses, it has gotten worse. Now the whole section outlined in green is soft and needs replacing. Anyone know a good welder in New england? I need to get it fixed before my April inspection.

Thanks

Try Will at rock dog. He is a really nice guy. I actually need to go up there and have him weld the same spot in my floors; kind of makes you think if you should be duralining the outside. Just through some floor mats in for your state inspection they're usually not too fired up about looking for that kind of stuff. Here is will's web site: http://www.rockdog4x4.com

Cheers,
Nick

If you live in NH you really should try BOWSER'S WELDING SERVICE
123 RIVER RD, PORTSMOUTH, NH 03801
Phone: (603) 431-7332 Wes is the owner and pretty much the whole place and I know he is very skilled, I have seen him build just about anything from a picture with no blue prints and he has helped me out a bunch of times. He is awesome he can weld or fab up pretty much anything, I really can't say enough good things about him and the service you get from him, plus he has his own welding truck and is pretty mobile. If you call him, it probably wont hurt to mention that the guys at The Middlesex companies highly recomend him and his work
