Any performance aluminum driveshaft for XJ?

I'm looking for a stronger/lighter performance driveshaft; something like what's installed on Camaros/Firebirds/Mustangs (where most of my experience lies). Stronger shaft, less rotational weight.

Also, can anyone recommend good U-joints?

I would talk to your local driveline shop, you are probably going to have to have one custom made. AFAIK there is no off the shelf direct replacement for the original shaft, there is not enough aftermarket racing interest in the XJs.

Im guessing it would have to be custom made. Unless you can find one in a similar length from a different application.

Very cool idea, I'll bet your local driveline shop would be all over it if they have aluminum capabilities (i'm thinking welding). they would charge the hell out of it too.

Try spicer replacements! (spicer part #5-153x last I knew) or if you have money buy CTM! hehe

I think Tom Woods makes a good Alum drive shaft.
