Any other Machinist?

Looks pretty neat. Probably be good for hobby stuff. Assuming its more for woodworking though.

yeah, they're kind of a do all woodworking machine.
I wasn't sure if I could just get metal tooling and use it, or it it's just not powerful/sturdy enough to do that sort of work.

I saw where one guy added a Z-axis to the drill press part of his and turned it into a vertical mill.

power I can solve. I got some random electric motors.

I'm just not sure if it would be up to the abuse the drie stuff takes doing metal.

*sigh*
I'll keep searching the craigslist for a lathe proper

I'm not a machinist, but I do fix machined parts. I am ASME section IX certified for FCAW/GMAW and SMAW for P-1, P-4, P-5, P-6, P-8, P-10, P-11, and Military grade armor. I re-machine axle's, spindles, axle housings, pinions, and muzzle breaks for 155mm M777 Howitzer. Thats about it for machined stuff though

Not technically a machinest but we have a hurco mill i can sort of work my way around. Then we have a full machining department full of haas equipment which I'm not allowed to touch lol. But I myself run, program and maintain a genesis systems group versatile 2 robotic welder with a fanuc arm and brains. Other then that I just mess with a bridgeport manual mill and clausing manual lathe that I make myself motorcycle and jeep parts and other useless crap on.

Robots = kool!

Who can make me one of these? Out of aluminum or maybe stainless if possible (something that will keep a luster), say...6" long or so?

Would you be willing to look into it for me? No rush. Take your time.

That's perfectly fine. I actually would prefer that.

Why don't you just put "Uncle Ben's special" on it too.....:roflmao:

Quit talking out of your ass. First off, SRT is a Mopar option which is quite American. Hell, there's even an SRT8 WK! Second off, when this badge was made, Chrysler and Mercedes Benz were merged. There is absolutely nothing rice about this badge. Besides, when the 97 is done, it will do that badge proud.
