Loooking for someone To pull me out of trouble. Just got my xj. havent done anything to it yet. Waiting to Sell my 01 F150. Am really wanting to explore some easy to moderate trails. Took my stock AWD Exporer to Corral Hollow a couple of months ago. Definatly not the best rock crawler. LOL.

If you mean Slick Rock by Alpine lake, do not go there. The final rock pile is not for stock. Check it out http://slonopotam.no-ip.org/Matyushkin/IMG_1041.jpg

Also, there should be a lot of snow. Unless you got a limited slip in the back, you won't pass it.

In a review I read it said stock jeeps could make it. They rated it a 5 one way and a 6 the other. Are they full of it? As for snow, I wouldnt think that there wouuld be much if any. Enough to wet the ground at most. But if you are right I would be screwed.

I believe bear valley is 1 mile before that place. Actually, the trail starts at a closed part of the freeway 4.
The trail is rated difficult in the book I have, more difficult than Bald Mountain.
If you go uphill, you'll pass the stones on the picture, but become stranded on the slick rock. Other way - you won't make the stones on the picture.

I guess I'll just stick to Carnegie Saterday. Closer and might as well see what that place is like. Probabley like playing disk golf in a mowed Park. Whatever that means.

Just got back from Carnegie. Just enough to get the jeep dirty but thats about it. Makes me want to have a dirt bike. 1600 ac. about 5 of that for 4x4. Played in a mud pit for awhile. whee...
anybody have som 31's they want to sell?
