Any one else see this problem?

OK well with all that being said I for one didn't know about the demographics thing. I guess this point got kinda carried away.

BTW off topic: Only 4 more post goodburbon. And it better be a good one.

Demographics was the wrong word, I haven't been getting much sleep. It's pretty much pure geography. Dayum, I have a bunch of posts out there.

Well, If I ever run for president of the United States there's a boatload of my ignorant rantings out there. Just making sure I never win:D

I was talking about more like windsheild banners.... But those are cool too. Will they fade over time? Thats the only thing I don't like about that kind of sticker.

We definitely should be working on more local meet-ups, which is why we've encouraged folks to use the boards to arrange them. The BoD can't force anyone to show up, though, we can simply provide the tools and assistance to the members to allow them to easily schedule this stuff. I personally have way more going on right now than usual. Add that to relatively rough economic times and it gets pretty hard for me to get away from the real-world for even a local get-together, much less an actual wheeling trip. I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling that way right now (I know burbon is in a similiar boat) which is why it's been a bit slow lately. As the BoD we do what we can, but it only goes so far.

I can tell you that further "sub-chapters" wouldn't fix the issue. The same people who currently ignore your PM's will STILL ignore your PM's regardless of additional layers of "management".

My suggestion is that you simply keep doing what you're doing. Set a date and time for a meet-up (I create a new stickied thread to help folks find this stuff) and let everyone know about it. You simply can't do more to "force" participation than that.

We'll, mines been on for over a year with no fading. Who knows how long it will last.

As an incentive for folks on the fence about coming to Barnwell in November, I've got a couple of extra stickers that I'll give away to first people who ask for them that weekend. :)

The sticker colors clash with my paint scheme. ;)

What the sticker doesn't come pre faded?

Oh you are talking about your wrangler... my bad

I am not dissing it.. They only thing I don't like about it is when you drive it... the CD player seems to be stuck on that song "It's raining Men"

In my humble opinion it isn't the size of the chapter, it is the state of our economy. I would love to get out and do more things, but since I can't afford to fix either XJ at the moment it kinda limits what I can do, or where I can do it.

If gas were still $1 per gallon rather than $3.50 I would have no problem going down there on weekends. I use to go to Houston all the time to hang out with the ex's family.

right on dude, my rig needs more than gas to attend events any distance away, and i just don't have the jack to make it happen:bawl:

Ok first off I am not bitching nor am I talking about breaking up this chapter but, does anyone else think the area this chapter covers is a lil too big?

But anyone else feel this way?

You haven't looked at the size of the midwest chapter lately have you? I brought that up way back when Oklahoma was part of the Midwest chapter. That sucked. Trust me Ok being in the same as TX, isn't near as bad.
