Unfortunatly in the pocket edition you can't change from creative to survival modes in the same world. I know it sucks.

You'll have to create a new world.
And select survival mode by clicking where it says creative. That changes modes

You rock! Never noticed the survival or creative! Does kind of suck I don't have all my work, but oh well
 
Ok, so I finally got an Xbox 360 and play minecraft daily. If anyone wants to co-op my gamertag is AlphaBravoXJ1
