Hey guys im planning out my cage right now and going to be diving into it in the next couple months and im just wondering what you guys have to say from experience, my aim is to reduce time that my jeep is not driveable. the basic idea is..

Hybrid
1.5" tube .120 wall
basically all interior cage except the roof and A pillar..

I was thinking of tying it into my JCR stage 1 sliders which are already tied into my frame stiffeners...

any little things would be good, like if i should paint most of it before install to reduce painting inside the jeep or not..
thanks guys

use 1.75x.120 dom

Thanks!

im also trying to figure out what i should do to mock up/measure the vertical internal parts which go through the roof because I cant check fit until I drill the roof... once I EAS Im gonna actually learn to be a fabricator but for now NAXJA is my education :lecture:

I've used foam pipe insulation for a cage mockup on a friends Bronco. It was flexible so you didn't have to calculate how much pipe you needed for bends and such. Tape to hold it.
Cut down a lot on waste metal according to said friend, who had done several other broncos before.
It was a stupid idea that popped up over beer but ended up working out great

I just did it and figured it out as I went. My long a-pillar/roof bars were a little off side by side (3 bends) but then I got better and better each time. My B pillars and D pillars were identical. I just wrote out the measurements in chalk on the driveway.
