Any cable guys in the house?

Rev maybe you could help me out.

we have two rooms in our upstairs, the room on the south side of the house has cable, we want a new cable outlet in the room on the north side of the house. I called Comcast and they sent a "tech" out and he said he couldn't install the new outlet, we have to have the MDU unit come out. They are suppose to call me to schedule and it's been over two weeks and Comcast isn't being very helpful about getting me in touch with the MDU unit.

Is this something we can do ourselves?? or should we just wait for the "pros" to do it?

Phunk....well....

In the old days we would run the line "internal", meaning run it along the basebords and under the carpet, it is a hack way to do it, but in some MDU's it had to be done that way. If the rooms have a common wall, you could poke thru there, if there is another room between you may be able to run thru the walls and along the baseboards.

Without looking at it, I cannot really give good advice. Good luck with getting Comcast to respond on relocating the outlet.
