Actaully, the more I have been reading the more I think I am going to hold out for one w/ a 466 in it. Not that the 444 is a bad motor, but the 466 is more suited for my needs around the farm. Afterall, it is going to maybe get 4-6 big trips a year at best for wheeling, and other then that it will be hauling cattle or other trailers.

you and me both. rear gearing has a tremendous amount to do with that, so I am researching what ratios came w/ what trucks or the cost of replacement to more road friendly (read as hwy speed) gears would cost. Still thinkng about holding out for a 466 model.

my bus had the dt360 with intercooler, like b ho's, it got 7/8 mpg with my jeep on the back and pulling another with a trailer. busses are alot of truck for the money and my plates were $35/yr

I have seen a few rigs that have that DT360 and did not know much about them. There is the local school bus barn just a few miles from my house and they have about a dozen busses parked out back and I was thinking about paying him a visit. They are all international busses w/ the exception of a few Bluebirds. Momma is not hot on the bus idea, so it still may be in my favor to get a 4700 or 4900 crew.. :dunno:
