Another FUGLY Jeep concept

So a good friend of mine is turning 16 and her daddy ordered her up a new FJ cruiser (yeah i go to a private school i know, but i'll be graduating in about a month), so i went to the auto show to check it out because she wanted my opinion on it. Little did i know that this harmless trip would lead to the discovery of another sickening jeep concept previously unknown to me. The Willys 2. looks like a little IFS go-kart

Here's the best part! Guess what rearend they kept alive for another generation of jeeps.

The Patriot has a few clever features, I'll give it that, but I don't like the CVT, V6, transaxle design, or IFS/IRS very much.

Throw a pop top on it, solid axle up front, get rid of the corral on top, call it something else and I'd drive it. The approach and departure angles should be pretty good. It's not much worse than what they did with the second generation Commando, Hmmmmm.....third?
