Yup. After the trip to Disney I decided to chop the complete back half off and tube it.

I like what you have done with your xj it is similar to mine.I rolled mine 2 years ago and have been slow in rebuilding it. But last year got it caged and a top from another 2 door xj donor installed.Put a bulkhead from box tube and heavy sheetmetal and capped the sides and boxed the rear corners with the same sheetmetal to add back some strentgh.Left my back open for the cage to continue on to the backend.Then put a TJ windjammer in it to close it in for cold weather or can remove it for summer and remove my doors.Great job on yours keep the pics coming as it progresses! I think the 2 door chopped looks better than the 4 doors do.
