Hi! I'm Mark Seidman, Treasurer of NAXJA's MidWest Chapter and I am looking to continue my service to our great organization. I've been the keeper of the checkbook and part of the WinterFest crew since the Chapter's inception. Previously, I was the treasurer for the North Atlantic Chapter prior to relocating to the St Louis area. As always, I am open to questions and suggestions.

Good Luck Mark!

Good Luck Austin...I mean Mark! :roflmao:

How is the WF puppy? He must be as big as your house by now?
Does he prefer to eat Turkey?

Lu is great! She's filled out a little bit but is still an energetic ball of lean muscle.

Great to hear about the dog, I had forgot about that.

Mark I have a few questions for you that I have asked the others that are running.

Obviously you can do the job because you have been doing the position for the past few years, have there been any complaints or issues, things with the position that you would like to see changed in the next two years?

Would you be on board with a monthly, or bi monthly treasurers statement to the members? What about a record of things the BOD has disscussed (I dont want to know everything, but the highlights...if there are any :) )?

Haven't seen you around much lately, are you still able to commit the time involved to the position?

And lastly...at least at the moment...will you be at winterfest?

I'm not aware of any complaints about the way I have been doing the job, and I don't really have any complaints about what the job entails. There is only one truly busy season around WF, which isn't all that difficult anyway.

I think a treasury statement would be great... it would allow us to better plan as a group how to allocate the money. I also think a BOD report of items being discussed would provide better communication and transparency to our membership.

Although I don't surf the boards like I once did (my current job and responsibilities as a new dad limit my recreational time) I do keep tabs on the financial needs of our various projects and take care of sending checks and depositing funds in a timely fashion.

And lastly...at least at the moment...will you be at winterfest?

I will certainly be there, and I will try to bring Lu as well. The thing that is still up in the air is whether I will have time to get the MJ going or just bring the XJ like last year.

Thank you for the insightful questions.
