Dunno. It was issued from my department.
I didn't catch that the first time. That makes it all square.
I have a full auto bcg in my AR.

As do I. I will swap it into the x39 when it get built and I have a piston system for my current AR. Figure it will be great for the heftier recoil.I have a full auto bcg in my AR.
I was actually scared to do the knob myself. I should have tried though. It seems fairly straight forward. I just didn't feel like running the risk of needing a new bolt.
Not 100% sure about this, but I think the black coating on the bolt holds lube better than the polished bolt. Unless you do the jeweling. (I do know this for sure) Jeweling actually makes the bolt diameter a touch larger and holds lube very well. The larger diameter helps with keeping the bolt true. Though not nearly as well as getting the entire action trued.
Someday I'll have a nice rifle with trued action... Someday.
I was actually afraid of doing it as well but after doing a little research and of course watching a few videos seems pretty easy, just have to take your time and not rush it. I may have to do some checking on the bolt thing though. I did lighten up my trigger a little to a nice 2.5 lbs, so nice now.
:yelclap::yelclap::yelclap: I encourage that!I actually got my first chance yesterday to actually shoot an AR and now really contemplating beginning a build. Still doing a little research on what I think I want for parts so won't be right away but shooting one was a push towards it.
2.5#?! Holy hell! Are you planning on doing a lot of bench shooting? I know light triggers are better for the shooter's accuracy, but damn. That just sounds low. Personal preference, likely. Just seems a touch extreme.

2.5#-3# seems about right to me, my BR triggers are in ounces. Try a shock to your trigger control, go from my tactical setup to my BR rigs and back.

Do you ever barrel actions? My gunsmith buddy recently relocated to OK and took a sweet job at surgeon rifles. I got a project in the works...
Is your move out here temporary? Are you planning on getting your lathe out here?Yep plenty of them, all my custom stuff I've done. Issue is I didn't bring my lathe with me when I moved out here to WI, the U-Haul was full of all the machines and tools I need to build shifters.

I'd be happy to support amember in other applications if at all possible. And sooner or later, I'll be building a .300 something or other for big game. Could definitely use a trued action someday.
