Running a 5.5 RE long arm lift and leafs. Just did my steering upgrade and my own alignment but I'd like for it to be professionally done. Where do you guys go?

I always just did my own, I kept a 1/8-1/4" toe and I had good luck...but my rig was guided by a force much greater than luck...

Yeah, I'd like to be able to trust my work but since it was my first time doing the alignment and with all of the driving I do I'd like to have it done and really see how close on the money I am.

FWIW, before I got laid off by Pfizzer, and after my last lift on my 94, I did have my checked. Dead-on factory specs, for caster, toe and camber. You can do this, but it is a little detail oriented.

There's a local shop here in Fort Wayne that I have do my Jeeps and Tow rig...at least the stuff driven on the street. They are cool with bigger tires.

mac 'not a national chain tho' gyvr

I ended up taking mine to a family shop in crown point that was recommended by a buddy. They didnt even align the steering wheel straight. Smh.

It is 5 minutes to straighten the wheel, but for $100 you expect it to be done. Ended up doing it myself later that day when I had time.

Take it back, that's part of an alignment. They didn't do their Job.

I'm working on getting my money back. I asked them when I arrived to pick it up how everything went and they said great. Driving home my wheel was crooked so I called them. They went on telling me that there's something wrong with my gearbox that wouldn't let them get it straight. Give me a break. If there's something wrong with the truck why wouldn't you have told me that when I ASKED you how everything went? And furthermore if there is something wrong with my truck, how come I was able to get it straight? Dishonest shop..

ummmm... id take it to them and do it with the manager watching. then demand a refund. its 2 15mm bolts and an adjusting sleeve. SMH. id also demand a refund if they cant give you their before and after numbers, any reputable shop should be able to do it.

when i first lifted my jeep, i took it to a shop the did 4x4s. the local 4x4 shop sent all their lift installs here. they knew to mess with adjustable control arms and trackbars. the did a good job, for $40 id pay to have it done again, but dont trust big chain places like discount tire. an angle finder, tape measure, and 12 pack is a lot cheaper.
