aircraft sunroof

Hey, guys here's an intresting idea...I work on planes, and well time to time we change windows and the old one just get throwen away....now I was thinkin, they measure 10 1/2" X 10 1/2", they have mounting holes all the way round, they are slightly domed (is that a word?)...I was thinking about putting one over the driver and one over the passenger....do you guys think this is a feasible idea? the only thing I see that might be an issue is is they weigh about 7-10lbs each so I am woundering if it would cave the roof at all because of the weight......anyways just a cheap idea for some kind of sunroof...

I think it is an interesting idea. I also think that kind od weight will not cause any adverse effects to the roof. If you were really worried you can always put some hat channell up there or something. Let us know how it turns out.

window heat you mean? well these are side observation windows so they don't have it
