I was in Aiken at the old home place this weekend and took a bunch of pictures. Mostly down by the river that borders what was my grandfathers property. No pictures of Jeeps but I do ride there when I take it over there. IF you want it moved to the chapter forum report it and it will get moved.
Enjoy.

The river was unseasonably high. Would have loved to canoe it, but I did not have anyone that could go with me. Hope you enjoy seeing our little slice of the South that I love to return to any chance I get.

Nice pics Glenn, There really isn't any place like home!

No there isn't! TY, just thought I'd share and add something to the picture showcase.

That Buick looks like an awesome restoration project.

I was thinking it would make a nice hot rod sinice it was a 2 door. Compared to what My uncle, the owner, has in his shop across the street it not that "neat." Next time I go I'll try to get pictures and post them up. Its a 1920's Overland. He is doing a frame off restoration on it. The engine and frame are all done he is on to the body now. Work has been slow for him so it's kinda at a stand still I think.

Ok, so I came back this weekend (4.10.10) since the boys were on Spring break this week. They came over on Wednesday evening with the wife. I came over after work on Friday.

I went to go see if my favorite rock pile was still there and saw this:

It's about where it was the last time I went looking. You could say it was a barn find. He did some work for this lady and this was partial payment. It was in really bad shape but it was mostly all there.

Then I took the boys to a cemetery that dated back to the late 1800's.

TY appreciate it. Hopefully next time can get up with my cousin and see the civil war grave on his property. The next time I'm over there with the jeep I'll add some of those pictures to this. I do have some of my jeep in one of the ponds when it was drained. LOL!

Just got an email form my mom. Apparently my kids went for a ride today:

The wife and kids are in Aiken hanging out and my uncle got the body painted and put on the overland. I saw it last night when I went to pick up our van. (Transmisson blew!) I'll get more this weekend if I head back down there.
