adjusting trac bar

what is the best way to measure and get the front axle centered. any preferred measuring point that are commonly used? i need to adjust my trac bar. its an 89 and im using an i.r.o. setup.

I just hang a plumb bob on each side and adjust till there's roughly the same stick out on either side. It's not super critical that it's perfect.

cross measure to the rear axle. front driver to rear passenger and vice versa. I usually use the leaf spring perches.
